We are happy to announce the BAL-ADRIA Summer School on Digital Humanities 2020!
BAL-ADRIA is a collaboration between countries surrounding the Baltic Sea, and countries surrounding the Adriatic Sea, thus connecting Northern and Southern Europe.
In a supportive academic environment, we are offering good-sized classes ideal for learning, discussing and getting feedbacks on your ideas and thoughts.
This year’s Programme is taught by an international team of researchers and practitioners of digital humanities
and social sciences and is delivered in a form of lectures, seminars and practical workshops. Two topics will be covered, equalling together:
BAL-ADRIA Summer School is organized by joint effort of the iInstitute, the iSchool at Linnaeus University, Sweden,
and the Department of Information sciences, University of Zadar, Croatia.
The Bal-Adria Summer School of Digital Humanities is aimed at Master-level students, PhD students, postdoctoral researchers and researchers in any humanities and social science discipline, as well as professionals in cultural heritage sectors. A prerequisite for participation is a Bachelor degree in any discipline. To apply, prospective participants should send a one-page Curriculum Vitae and a Motivation Letter of 300-400 words explaining their motivation to take part, especially related to current project(s) and/or interest(s), as well as mention any expectations they have from the summer school. Participants are responsible for their own accommodation. The price
of accommodation is not included in the registration fee. Participants
are responsible for paying the bank commission/fees.
We recommend Guesthouses of the Benedictine nuns of Saint Mary and can
organize this accommodation for the participants. The price is 260kn per
night.
